60 Shots

A 60 shot cracker is a cake firework: 60 launch tubes bundled and wired together, each loaded with its own aerial shell. One external fuse starts the whole sequence: tube fires, shell bursts overhead in colour, the next tube takes over, and so on until all 60 have gone. Where a single-shot sky cracker gives you one burst and finishes, a 60-shot cake keeps the sky busy for a sustained stretch without anyone relighting anything.

This is where the range starts to feel like a proper centrepiece rather than a supporting item: bigger than a 50-tube cake, still short of the 120 and 240 shot formats that are built for weddings and large public gatherings. For a family or society Diwali night where the 60-shot cake is the main aerial event, it's a common choice precisely because it holds a crowd's attention for long enough without demanding the amount of open ground a 120-plus cake needs.

The safety rules don't change with size. The launch tube goes on firm, level ground, the clear radius around it has to be genuinely respected, and only an adult lights it, every time, regardless of how many shots the cake holds.

Set up on open ground, clear of vehicles, dry leaves and the festival lamps, with water and dry sand beside you before the first light. Use an incense stick at arm's length, one cracker at a time, and leave any dud alone, soak it rather than relight it. Children hold sparklers only, always supervised, in cotton clothes and closed shoes.
