1000 Shots

A 1000-shot cake is what you reach for when you want one box to carry the whole aerial segment of a display rather than lighting several smaller cakes back to back. The tube count scales the runtime: our range steps up from a Single Shot Sky Cracker through 12, 25, 30, 60, 120 and 240 Shot cakes, each adding more tubes and more overhead runtime, with a 1000-tube box sitting well above the top of that visible ladder as the long-format option. The general-purpose Repeating Shot Cracker format (a cake that fires its shells in rapid repeat succession rather than one burst) describes the same mechanism at this scale, just with far more tubes packed into one box.

This size is typically bought for the anchor moment of a display: the finale, or the one item lit when everyone's gathered and watching, rather than something lit early or repeatedly. Because of the length of the burn, it needs more clearance time as well as more clearance space, plan for it to run considerably longer than a 100 or 120-shot cake before the area is safe to approach again.

The longer the burn, the longer the area stays live, so treat a 1000-tube cake with more caution than a smaller cake, not less. Burst on open ground, never a balcony or stairwell, and keep a bucket of water and a length of sand within reach. Light one item at a time with an agarbatti at arm's length, and never return to a cracker that failed to go off, douse it after a few minutes. Give children only hand-held sparklers, under an adult's eye, and keep loose synthetic clothing away from every flame.
