"80% off" is one of the most common lines in cracker advertising, and it's worth understanding before you shop by it. It isn't a flash sale or a limited-time markdown. It's how the printed MRP on a cracker box relates to what sellers actually charge, and once you know the mechanic, the number stops meaning much on its own. This page explains the "80% off" claim honestly and lines up real products across categories so you can judge value by what's inside the box, not by the size of the discount sticker. Figures reflect 2026 stock; live rates sit on the order screen.
How Our Pricing Works
Cracker MRP is set at manufacture, well above what any retailer expects to actually collect. Think of it as a reference ceiling, not a target price. The net rate, what you pay, sits far below that ceiling from the start at every legitimate seller, because that's how the trade's margin structure has worked for decades. So when a seller advertises "80% off," they're usually just stating the gap between MRP and their standard net rate, not offering you anything below what a fair seller already charges. A shop advertising a bigger discount percentage than another isn't necessarily cheaper; it may simply have printed a higher MRP to make the sticker look better. The number that actually tells you whether a price is fair is the net rate itself, compared across sellers for the same product, never the discount percentage alone. refreshed each season
Picks for This Budget
This spread covers what a typical net-rate order draws from, across effect types and noise levels:
- 7cm Electric Sparkler: a short handheld sparkler, apartment-safe, supervised-kids item, entry point for most family orders.
- Flower Pot Small: a compact ground fountain, low noise, short cone of sparks.
- Ground Chakkar Small: a small spinning pinwheel, low noise, sized for tighter spaces.
- Sound Rocket: a stick rocket ending in a loud aerial bang, no colour burst, adults-only and outdoor.
- Atom Bomb: a high-charge single-report cracker built purely for a very loud bang, ground-lit, adults-only.
- Single Shot Sky Cracker: one tube, one aerial colour-and-crackle burst.
- 100 Wala Garland: a short garland string for a continuous ground burst.
- Pop-Pop Cracker: a tiny friction cracker that pops when thrown or stepped on, no flame or fuse, and the only item on this list rated kids-safe unsupervised.
Full ranges: Sparklers, Flower Pots, Ground Chakkars, Rockets, Sound Crackers, Sky Shots, Garland Crackers and Fancy Novelties. refreshed each season

Safety & Fit
This list spans handheld, ground and aerial items with very different handling needs, so check each pick's noise level and kids-safe rating before you buy. A Pop-Pop is unsupervised-safe; an Atom Bomb is adults-only. Burst on open ground, never a balcony or stairwell, and keep a bucket of water and a length of sand within reach. Light one item at a time with an agarbatti at arm's length, and never return to a cracker that failed to go off, douse it after a few minutes. Give children only hand-held sparklers, under an adult's eye, and keep loose synthetic clothing away from every flame.
