Green crackers in Patna: 76 CSIR-NEERI certified boxes from ₹17

Two national orders set the floor here. Patna sits inside the Ministry of Environment's list of non-attainment cities, and that status is exactly what the NGT's order targets: poor-air-quality regions get the strictest local layer on top of the national floor above. Patna's own position has consistently gone further than that floor in recent years rather than merely tightening it. The Bihar State Pollution Control Board ordered a complete ban on selling and bursting all firecrackers, including green ones, in Patna for 2020, kept the ban running in 2021, and Bihar's government repeated a full ban on Patna and three other cities again for 2024 (The Hindu). That is a recurring position, not an exception. This page will not promise a green-cracker window that may not exist this year. Check the 2026 notification from the Patna district administration or the Bihar State Pollution Control Board before assuming green crackers can legally be sold or burst in the city.
