Buy Crackers Online in Alappuzha

Kerala has not layered a separate statewide cracker prohibition on top of the national position, so what governs an Alappuzha buyer is largely the same two-tier structure that applies across most of the country: a national floor set by the courts, plus whatever timing notification the city police or the Kerala pollution control board issues closer to a given festival. Onam itself is a comparatively light cracker occasion here, so the bigger legal question for most Alappuzha households actually lands around Deepavali and Karthigai Deepam later in the calendar.

Whatever the state adds, two nationwide orders come first. Supreme Court, 23 Oct 2018 (WP(C) 728/2015): permitted manufacture/sale of green crackers, banned barium-salt and joined crackers, limited Diwali bursting to a ~2-hour window (commonly 8–10 PM). NGT, 9 Nov & 1 Dec 2020 (O.A. 249/2020): ban on firecrackers in poor-air-quality regions including the NCR. Our green crackers guide explains what the CSIR-NEERI formulations change.

For anything newer, check the 2026 notification from the Alappuzha city police or the Kerala pollution control board. The same guide also covers what separates a NEERI-certified green cracker from stock that isn't compliant, which matters more in a season where multiple festivals stack close together.
