A crackers price list in Kannur is really a request for structure, which categories exist, how they're packaged, and how a small family order differs from a bulk one, more than it is a request for a single number. Rates move every season with raw-material cost and government cess, so a printed figure on this page would be stale before the next Onam. What stays stable is the catalogue shape: how items are grouped, what a loose pack looks like next to a gift box, and where to find the live rates for whatever you're buying today.

Firecracker Rules & Bursting Timings in Kannur
Kannur does not layer a separate municipal cracker order on top of the national position, so the legal picture that shapes what appears on any price list here, green-certified stock only, no joined strings or barium-salt items, a fixed festival bursting window, is set nationally rather than locally. That is worth knowing before comparing rates: a genuinely cheap price on a non-green or unlisted item is not a bargain, it is stock that cannot legally be sold or used in Kannur or anywhere else in the country.
Two national orders set the floor here. Supreme Court, 23 Oct 2018 (WP(C) 728/2015): permitted manufacture/sale of green crackers, banned barium-salt and joined crackers, limited Diwali bursting to a ~2-hour window (commonly 8–10 PM). NGT, 9 Nov & 1 Dec 2020 (O.A. 249/2020): ban on firecrackers in poor-air-quality regions including the NCR. Our green crackers guide explains what the CSIR-NEERI formulations change.
For anything newer, check the 2026 notification from the Kannur city police or the Kerala pollution control board.
How Kannur Crackers Are Priced
The catalogue splits into a small number of structures rather than one flat list. Loose items, single-category packs like a box of sparklers or a bundle of flower pots, are priced individually and suit a buyer who wants to build a specific mix. Gift boxes bundle several categories, sparklers, fountains, aerials, into one assorted carton and are priced as a set rather than item by item. Family packs sit between the two, a curated combination sized for one household's Onam or Diwali evening. Bulk quantities, aimed at community groups, resident associations or larger family gatherings, are priced by carton count rather than by individual piece, with the wholesale crackers page covering that route in more depth. None of these structures is fixed in rupee terms on this page; current rates live on the catalogue itself.
Buying for Onam in Kannur
Onam's cracker use is light and family-centred, sparklers and flower pots alongside the pookkalam, which means a typical Kannur household is pricing a small loose-item or single family-pack order rather than the multi-box baskets common in states where Diwali carries the bulk of the annual spend. That changes what "price list" means locally: most buyers here are comparing a handful of individual items rather than assembling a large mixed cart. Anyone also marking Diwali or Karthigai Deepam can check Diwali crackers or Karthigai Deepam crackers separately, since those baskets run heavier and are priced accordingly on their own pages.
