Colour Chakkar

Every ground chakkar works the same way: a disc pinned flat to the ground, lit and left to spin, throwing sparks outward in a ring as it turns. The Small, Big, Special, Deluxe and Giant chakkars all differ from each other in spark radius and spin duration, but they share the same spark colour. The Colour Chakkar is the one exception. It keeps a comparable size and spin behaviour to the standard small-to-mid chakkars, but swaps the usual orange-gold spark for a tinted ring, sold specifically as a colour alternative rather than a size or power upgrade.

That makes it a low-noise, low-drama pick: rated low on noise, both day and night, apartment safe, and supervised-kids-safe like the Small and Special chakkars. It isn't trying to out-spin the Big Chakkar or add sound like the 2-Sound version. It's solving a different problem: a row of identical orange sparks gets repetitive if you're lighting several chakkars back to back.

Being apartment safe doesn't mean unsupervised, the tinted spark ring still needs the same clear, flat patch of ground as any other chakkar.

Set up on open ground, clear of vehicles, dry leaves and the festival lamps, with water and dry sand beside you before the first light. Use an incense stick at arm's length, one cracker at a time, and leave any dud alone, soak it rather than relight it.
